    About

    Jacob Morris is the Manager and Artistic Director at Bay Area Performing Arts. He is an actor and singer born and raised in Akron, Ohio. Jacob carries a Master of Arts in Musical Theatre from The University of Mobile and has 10 years of classical and commercial voice experience. Jacob has played in productions as Nathan Detroit, Barnaby Tucker, Rudolpho, and most recently as Jervis, a leading role in the two-person musical, Daddy Long Legs. His original Cabaret show called “Bathroom Happenings” is currently in workshop.

    This “yankee” moved south to pursue his undergraduate degree at Spring Hill College. While there he founded the first collegiate a cappella group in Southern Alabama, Upper Room, which travelled nationally and even produced a single! This group has since traveled nationally and performed at various festivals and events. Their music is available on all streaming platforms globally. Jacob has had the pleasure of working with Citizen Queen , Acapop! Kids , and the Pentatonix Christmas Tour in New York City.

    He is the founder of our annual theatre intensive “It’s A Theatre Thing!”. Jacob creates a positive and challenging environment for our students to learn, and most importantly, be themselves.
